Reassessing my Goals

Hello all!

Hope you had the chance to enjoy the nice weekend!

For me, I wasn’t able to enjoy as much of our patio as I wanted to, but I did have a good weekend!

I don’t see my mom very often, but I had the opportunity to go see her on Saturday which was really nice! Sometimes I feel I don’t see her enough, but I guess that’s what life is. Everyone having their own schedule to follow and finding time to see other people is sometimes a struggle. So when you get to see them, you make sure you enjoy it as much as you can.

In this past week, there was a lot of thinking regarding my running goals. I came to realize that I may not have enough time to train for that half marathon I wanted to do after all without compromising other things that I want to do. So, I decided to be more realistic and concentrate on my 10 km run in October instead, which the training schedule is a lot more friendly on my time and also my body! I don’t cross off the half marathon completely, but I think I may postpone it to next year instead until my body gets used to the mileage.

After all, it’s not the distance that counts, it’s being healthy and enjoying it that does. When it becomes a burden, there’s no fun. Don’t you agree?
