Daily Prompt: Forlorn

This post is in response to the Daily Prompt word: Forlorn

What a perfect word to describe my morning commute! Today is back to school for all kids after their holidays time off. It’s snowing and there’s a shortage of buses, most likely because they are stuck in traffic somewhere. Forlorn people on board or a crammed bus. Many have been waiting in the blowing snow for at least 45 mins and many couldn’t come on board as it was full, probably waiting an extra 15 mins or more. Let’s just say there are many unhappy campers on this Monday morning.

One lady had my attention more than the others. I am assuming she was with her grand-children bringing them to school. She was yelling at the bus driver. I understand her frustration, but at the same time, it is not the bus driver’s fault. What can he do about it?

I felt bad for the guy. My message for today, think before saying something that may hurt someone. You don’t know what they are going through themselves and maybe it’s not their fault.  Is it that bad that you need to make others feel bad? Sometimes, it’s just better to stay quiet and move on. Be kind.
